Holy Cow - Robinson's Galleria

Two weeks ago we were in Ortigas vicinity for some appointment. So like the other weeks we were looking for a place to consume our "Weekend Treats".

We thought of TGI Friday's, Burgoo, Mexicali or something new. After 2 hrs of deciding we ended up trying this place with the "Steak house" concept expecting that we'll be satisfied with the menu and quality of food ( what a nice option for lunch right?)

So its called Holy Cow.. what can I say about it?

It was hard to find. We went through the whole West Wing of Robinson's Galleria since that's what their posters are saying and when we're about to give up with annoyance (like our instincts telling us not to look for it anymore) , it was right in the West Lane.

Good point- The service crew were friendly and accommodating. That's the only good thing I can remember.

Bad point- Most dishes that you would've imagined ordering were not available. No Burgers, No pasta (as in all pasta), Stingy servings that are not reasonable for the price.

Given that probably they weren't expecting the volume of people since they just opened, come on!! It was only like 2 hours ago when the mall opened! How can a resto be out of stock of every basic thing that most likely people will order? shouldn't they prepare enough? Its not like the place was people-flooded when we arrived...

The first time, waitress returned to me to say that the pasta I ordered is not available, she gave me some options but came back for the second time saying there's no more pasta at all.

Again, I changed my order with some steak and rice order - for the third time again I get an "F" for failure. Then I settled for some lunch-combo food that they have because I was already starving. We also ordered some shrimp appetizer and a supposedly decent-sized steak for Aaron.

Not for being stingy but I'm really practical when it comes to buying food. My rules are simple - If the food was really good or decent for the price then I won't care paying for it . If it sucks and

i feel like its not worth - I won't stop complaining about it ( just to my husband though :) I'm not rude like to other people in public places.

Aaron who doesn't complain about resto had something to say too. The food wasn't good, that food court barbecues are even better; that the servings were too stingy and so on... Too bad our phones were both dead to take pictures!

There was even a lone foreign guy (probably thinking just like us that steak house is a good option for lunch) who made a scene because everything he ordered from the menu were not available except for the soup. So he was pissed that when the waitress came to offer him some substitute food from menu for the the third time, he just said

" No Thanks! I'll just finish my soup and go somewhere else!"

And my bet that he'll fully go to Old Spaghetti House was confirmed when we walked out and saw him sitting there- eating happily.

By experience of loving restaurants, me and my husband were not impressed at all and swore that we're never eating there again EVER!!!

Trick.
